The afternoon keynote panel at the Chesapeake Studies conference at Salisbury University in September 2023 features Rich Batiuk, longtime leader of the Chesapeake Bay Program at the Environmental Protection Agency, and Bill Dennison, interim president of the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science, discussing efforts over the past several decades to restore the Chesapeake Bay to health. The moderator is Tom Horton, longtime environmental writer for the Baltimore Sun and professor at Salisbury University.

The morning keynote panel at the Chesapeake Studies conference at Salisbury University in September 2023 features four giants of Chesapeake Bay science discussing the changes in science and our knowledge of the Bay. The panelists are Walter Boynton and Mike Roman of University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science, Anson “Tuck” Hines of the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center, and Mark Luckenbach of the Virginia Institute of Marine Science. The moderator is Kandis Boyd of the Environmental Protection Agency.
